Using advanced timber technology grooved-edge boards, our hidden fastening system installs between the deck boards, fastening them securely to the substructure with no visible screw heads on the walking surface.
This precision system also creates perfectly consistent spacing between the boards for a flawless look across the entire Trex® deck. The system includes two simple components
This self-gapping hardware is the main fastener component that attaches two boards together for the horizontal decking area.
It features a black headed stainless steel screw pre-loaded into the black glass filled nylon fastener for increased durability and easier installation.
Each box contains 90 clips, 90 screws and driver bit. Each bucket contains 900 clips, 900 screws and two driver bits. Easy to follow instructions can be found here – Trex® Installation Instructions.

These are black, stainless steel fasteners exclusively for Trex and used to install the first row of deck boards so there are no exposed fixings.
Each bag contains 36 clips, 36 screws and driver bit.

Cap-Tor timber screws are specifically designed to attach Trex® composite decking to timber framing with no pre-drilling
They provide a clean, smooth and uniform finish and are made with either a colour matched epoxy-based polymer resin coating or in colour matched head coating stainless steel. Each packet contains 100 screws and driver bit.
Colours: Chateau Grey, Honey Brown, Moroccan Red, Pebble Grey and Torino Brown Available in 100 screw packets
- Colour Coated Heads: Head colours are available to blend with the Trex Contour range of composite decking colours
- Star Recess: Extra deep T-20 star recess to minimise the “wobble” at screw starting
- Undercut Head Design: A specially engineered head that penetrates the hard outer layer of Trex® cap stock decking products
- Transverse Threading: Eliminates “mushroom” effect common to composite decking installed using standard deck screws without pre-drilling by preventing debris from the hole from forming a mound around the screw head
- Auger Point: For faster, easier entry; helps prevent splitting

Top Fixing - Metal
Cap-Tor metal screws are designed to attach Trex® composite decking to steel and aluminium framing with no pre-drilling.
They are made of Grade 410 stainless steel and a colour matched epoxy-based polymer resin coating over zinc plate.
Each packet contains 100 screws and driver bit.
- Available in packets of 100 screws
- Star Recess: Extra deep T-20 star recess to minimise the “wobble” at screw starting
- Undercut Head Design: A specially engineered head that cleanly penetrates the hard outer layer of Trex’s third generation of composite decking
- Drill Point with Wings: the wings increases the speed and effectiveness of the drill point and also prevent mushrooms and other decking surface defects.
