By keeping the cells stable, the timber remains solid. As the moisture evaporates, the risk of your timber swelling or growing mould also evaporates.Â
Most timber protection products attempt to keep water out by covering the timber in a shiny lacquer-style coating. The problem is small water molecules can still find a way into the timber but most likely will become trapped – especially if you’ve only coated the top side of your decking. If your existing timber starts to flake or peel, this is a sure sign that water is trapped in the timber. If left untreated, this can lead to your timber rotting.

EQUISOL PRIME
EQUISOL PRIME is a specialised formula that helps to remove tannins and oils before the application of the timber’s protective coating. EQUISOL PRIME can be used on new and unseasoned timber or on old timber to remove old coatings. EQUISOL PRIME is a convenient and essential part of the Equisol protection system and is easy to apply and quick drying. This product is not suitable for stripping paint or polyurethane film coatings from timber.

EQUISOL NULL
EQUISOL NULL is a multi-purpose product that kills mould, algae, moss and lichen. It penetrates deep into the timber to destroy the growth from the inside out. EQUISOL NULL is biodegradable and has extremely low toxicity. Any surface that is painted or coated in a polyurethane film should be stripped and sanded before applying EQUISOL NULL.Â

EQUISOL VITALISE
EQUISOL VITALISE is a rejuvenating and protective treatment for timber surfaces. This product removes surface contaminants and can breathe new life into grey and weathered timber. Use EQUISOL VITALISE to prepare your timber for a recoat. It’s advised to use EQUISOL PRIME before to ensure that all tannins and mill gaze have been removed. Restore your timber to its former glory with EQUISOL VITALISE.
